Day of Surgery
It is normal to feel nervous before surgery. Our staff will try to make your stay relaxed. Keep in mind that the surgical team is skilled at performing this procedure.
Getting Ready at Home
- Shower and shampoo your hair.
- Wear loose-fitting clothes
- Do not wear makeup, nail polish, hair spray or perfume
- Leave jewelry (including rings), watches and other valuables at home
What to Bring
- Insurance cards or forms and photo ID
- A list of your medications (include the name, dose and how often you take each one)
- A container with your name on it to hold items you may need to remove and store. These include dentures, glasses and contact lenses
- A parent or legal guardian if you are under are 18; proof of guardianship (if needed)
- Any paperwork you have received at your physician's office
